FOR EXPERIENCED DANCERS & NEWCOMERS ALIKE!

$10/class starting Friday $10/class for Fri. & Mon. nights July 21, 25 & 28 & August 1 & 4 ) from 7:15 pm - 8:30 pm Tango Foundations class for all levels at the Lab, 408 W. Lowe, Fairfield, followed by free practica 'til 9:30 pm. 

Learn or refine the core fundamental skills of Tango in a natural, stress-free way. Whether you are a total newcomer or an experienced dancer, Mati will help you build or perfect a solid foundation in Tango, help you let go of bad habits, and improve all aspects of your technique. 

If you've been overwhelmed, frustrated or confused by Tango in the past, Mati's systematic, kind and attentive style of teaching will make learning Tango easy.

More about Matias Sotto:

Matias Sotto is an internationally recognized Tango Instructor and award-winning dancer who has taught and performed extensively since 2009 in Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Shanghai, Manilla, and Mexico City. We are fortunate to host Mati for an extended residency during his first tour in the USA, where he will also be a featured performer with Luciana Valle at the Portland Tango Festival.

Mati guides his students in a more “natural” style of tango informed by his training in biomechanics, pilates and ballet. He credits his training to the highly respected Tango mentors Carlos Peréz, Rosa Forte, Daniel Nacucchio, Cristina Sosa and Luciana Valle, and to his Biomechanics and Ballet teacher Marcela Trapé.

Dancers appreciate Mati's ability to identify and teach the fundamentals of tango for both leaders and followers by coaching them to move in a more balanced, effortless and natural way. He focuses on strengthening his students' ability to master the elements of tango so they can more easily incorporate these "building blocks" into their social dancing.
